Der aus Arkansas stammende Autodidakt ist seit Jahren als Strassenmusiker auf der ganzen Welt unterwegs. Dies ist sein erstes Album und die Zeit auf der Strasse ist der Musik deutlich anzuh\u00f6ren. Im positiven Sinne. Wundersch\u00f6ne Melodien und ein Gesang, der so ziemlich alle Einfl\u00fcsse jamaikanischer Roots Reggae Interpreten in sich vereint. Von den Dubs gar nicht zu reden. Die Scheibe ist instrumententechnisch eine komplette Eigenproduktion, deswegen nehme ich an, dass auch der m\u00e4nnliche Backgroundchor aus Dillons Zweitstimmen besteht. Dazu nimmt man einfach ein altes Albm und schickt die Songs an diverse Kollegen, die das dann bearbeiten und schwupps, kann man das ganze nochmal rausbringen. Gute Idee, wenn man zum Beispiel gerade eine Schreibblockade hat. Der Produzent aus Sao Paulo brettert ziemlich industriell durch die Pampa und wird dabei fast schon technoid.
